What Country Produces the Most Mangos? Hawaii!

So, my most exciting news of the week was almost getting attacked by a swan. I went out for the first time to count grazers and tag seaweed with one of the masters students here, and I was sitting calmly next to a grey eagret (who also wasn't too thrilled about my proximity either) when three swans came swimming over. The large lead male walked toward me; he got closer, and closer, and I...

A. Kept working without a care in the world. Swans don't scare me!
B. Prepared some of my best kung fu moves. A roundhouse kick to the face would teach that swan who to mess with!
C. Threw snails at it. I had shells in both hands after all.
D. Sang to it (channeling spore) until it was convinced that I was a fairy princess who deserved it's undying love and devotion.
E. All of the above
F. None of the above
G. Walked away with both hands in the air. Felt like a crimminal.
H. Should really just finish this list and get on with the blog. Sheesh. What do I think this is, a multiple choice test?
I. Thought about all the people I knew who had been attacked by swans. Decided Mr. Swan could have his snails back.
J. Took it's picture (Lady GaGa style). Ironically, it posed like Lady GaGa too.

So the swans eventually disappeared, and I went back to work. I had a really good time. The weather was absolutely PERFECT, and I really like digging around in seaweed (worms and all). Also, the snails were really cute, when I finally figured out what they looked like. Afterwards, I had an amazing walk back to my dorm. Jacket off and everything!

The bad news: I haven't been getting anything done lately. At all. Motivation = -1. I know that I need to study, but...
The good news: I talked to Laura tonight! :D She always makes me smile! Also, I managed to catch up with my lovely friend Catherine in Colordo and the always amazing Capelle in Madison. And thanks to everyone else who has chatted with me as well...I love hearing from everyone! I MISS YOU! YES YOU! I've been very lucky in my skype calls this week!
The bad news: I haven't talked to my father in awhile. I hope he is reading this, because if he is he should CALL ME. ;)
The good news: I am traveling to London next week, and I'm super excited. Also, it's gorgeous here. Have I mentioned that before?

Cheers,

Lauren
