the tiger speaks 49 languages!

Okay, so we met a tiger today. He sits on my computer and says excellent, fantastic, perfect, and good work. Kat and I decided that we were going to learn Welsh. That is where the tiger comes in. The first word in the vocab lesson was the Welsh word for 'ant'. Then, they proceeded to put a bag on the screen. The Welsh word for bag is 'bag'. The Welsh word for bat is 'bat' (the next picture on the list). The Welsh word for dog is not 'dog'. Kat and I almost died laughing. Anyway, I've decided that Welsh is probably not the language to learn. Today. Or tomorrow. Or anytime in the near future.
Yesterday, when we weren't learning Welsh, Kat and I traveled to the location of my ocean science classes and walked around. We visited a church and a graveyard and stalked some more birds, which we quickly discovered were Mallards. Real novelty. Only the exotic when you're with us.
Here are some pictures from our adventure:
I made Kat take a picture of a grandfather and his granddaughter. They were so cute.

Another cat in the door?

I have many more stories and pictures, but I am signing off for now. Classes start tomorrow, so that should be interesting.

The good news: I think I found most of my books at the library.
The bad news: There are about 10 different libraries, and I only know where one is.
The good news: I've got postcards, so you should post your address if you want one. It is expensive to send them though, so make sure I really love you. Lol.
The bad news: I'm still verifying my address, but I'd love snail mail if anyone is willing in the near future.
The good news: Milk and pitch (a twinkie/bread/chocolate chip thing that's out of this world).

The bad news: I miss everyone.
The good news. It's gorgeous here (did I mention that already?) Melisa told me that, according to a tourist book, Bangor is the least pretty place in Wales. I beg to differ.

Cheers,

Lauren
